Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Your privacy and your callers' privacy matter to us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Telma, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713 (“Telma”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you visit heytelma.com, create an account or use the Telma AI receptionist (the “Service”).
For account and website information, Telma decides how the information is used. For information about people who call a business that uses Telma (“callers”), Telma is a service provider to that business and processes the information on its behalf. If you called a business that uses Telma, please contact that business about your information. We will help them respond.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, business name, address, phone numbers and the details you add about your business, such as hours, services, prices, questions and your greeting.
- Call information: the caller's phone number, the call audio and recording, the transcript, the summary, messages, and details such as the time and length of the call.
- Payment information: Link, by Stripe, collects your payment details directly. We receive your plan, subscription status and limited billing details, never your full card number.
- Support messages: what you send us when you contact us.
- Website and app usage: device and browser details, IP address, pages visited, referring links and ad click identifiers, collected with cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: answer and transfer calls, write call summaries, send you call summary and account emails, and show your call history.
- To set up and manage your account, subscription and Telma number.
- To support you and tell you about changes to the Service.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To check and improve the quality of the Service.
- To measure and improve our marketing, including our ads on Meta.
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell call content and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. AI and call recording
Telma answers calls with AI. The caller's speech is turned into text, an AI language model decides what to say, and a text-to-speech service speaks the reply. Calls are recorded and transcribed. These steps are performed for us by the providers in section 6.
Every call starts with a notice that the caller is speaking with an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. We do not use call audio to identify callers or to create voiceprints.
